On the sidelines of France’s 2025 AI Action Summit, more than 70 international experts and practitioners gathered for an informal discussion with the AI Adoption Initiative (AIAI). Building on momentum from AIAI’s first workshop in New York, where 60 experts explored policy strategies to accelerate economic growth through AI adoption, the Paris event focused on why adoption policies receive comparatively little policymaker attention or analysis.

Emerging Themes from France

• The need to move beyond pilot projects toward scalable, productivity-enhancing AI applications across industries;
• Policy levers – such as workforce upskilling, SME access to cloud-based tools, and targeted public sector adoption – that can drive faster diffusion; and
• The importance of cross-border knowledge-sharing to ensure adoption strategies are inclusive and globally relevant.
