Chile PontencIA Award: Recognizing the impact and reach of AI adoption

As a proud partner of the Chile PotencIA Award, the AI Adoption Initiative extends a warm congratulations to the recipients who are using artificial intelligence to address real challenges and deliver meaningful benefits to people, communities, and economies.

The Chile PotencIA Award, developed by Fundación País Digital is a first in the country. This award recognizes the top businesses and organizations who are moving the needle of AI adoption and using it to solve social and productivity challenges.

With over 600 applications, the award named one winner per category in large companies, startups, SMEs, and organizations. Each winner promotes responsible, innovative, and pioneering solutions for people and businesses across various sectors in Chile.

In the large companies category, the winning project Calidad de Cosecha (Harvest Quality) developed by Forestal Arauco has combined drones and deep-learning models to quantify waste, estimate volumes, and measure economic losses in forestry harvesting processes. This project provides solutions to more efficiently and sustainably manage forest resources and reduce risks such as wildfires.

In the SME category, the top project Rescue, Relocation, and Monitoring System for Chinchilla lanigera assisted by Artificial Intelligence developed by Kabeli and Goldfields is identifying, monitoring and relocating critical wildlife. By combining artificial intelligence, computer vision, and sensors, this project is helping to protect endangered species, like the chinchilla, by contributing to biodiversity conservation with cutting-edge technology.

In the startups category, the awarded project Theodora Intelligence by Theodora AI detects and corrects bias in language and images using deep learning, computer vision, and neuroscience-based approaches. This project is helping to reduce bias in institutional communications and improving decision-making processes.

In the organizations category, the winning project Fiscal HeredIA by the Public Prosecutor’s Office is providing an artificial intelligence ecosystem to support criminal investigation. The platform processes large volumes of text and audio, generating automated summaries, timelines, and criminal networks. This project has increased fugitive detection and reduced analysis times by over 90% across multiple regional prosecutor’s offices in Chile.

The diversity and breadth of projects recognized through this award demonstrate the impact of responsible artificial intelligence adoption across industries in Chile.

AIAI is proud to recognize the work of the awarded organizations and all those that participated in the Chile PotencIA Award.
